Lone Hotel by Maistra Collection

Behind the pine-forested Zlatni Rt park on Rovinj's southern shore, Lone Hotel rises as a five-storey concrete-and-glass arc designed by Studio 3LHD — one of the few buildings in Istria that architectural press covered at opening. The curved form channels sea breezes through a central atrium rather than relying on mechanical cooling alone.

The 236 rooms lean toward a gallery aesthetic: locally commissioned artwork changes by floor, and the fitness centre overlooks the tree canopy rather than a car park. The saltwater pool deck extends almost to the park's footpath network.

Rovinj's old town sits a fifteen-minute walk north along the coastal promenade, close enough for dinner but far enough that the hotel stays quiet after dark. The Venetian-Gothic harbour and Cathedral of St. Euphemia are both reachable without a taxi.
