Small Bosnian House

Eight guest rooms make up Small Bosnian House on Kostelska 38, a family-run stone-and-timber property on the eastern edge of Plitvice Lakes National Park, roughly a ten-minute drive from Entrance 1. The build echoes traditional Bosnian mountain houses, with exposed beam ceilings and a shared terrace overlooking the surrounding beech forest rather than a hotel lobby.

Rooms are simple and unair-conditioned, relying on stone walls and forest shade through summer; each has its own bathroom and direct outdoor access. Breakfast is homemade, served communally, with produce from the owners' own garden when in season.

The setting suits travellers prioritizing proximity to the park's trailheads over resort amenities, with parking on site and Korana valley viewpoints a short walk away.
