Castellum Suites

Past the Venetian kastro gate on Naxos Chora's hilltop, Castellum Suites occupies a restored fortified residence within the medieval walls of the Old Town. The name references the Latin word for castle — the building shares foundations with the 13th-century Venetian fortifications that still ring the hill.

Suites feature whitewashed vaulted ceilings and stone-cut walls; several look directly onto the narrow flagstone lanes of the kastro quarter. The Portara, Apollo's unfinished ancient temple on the islet of Palatia, is visible from the upper terrace.

Naxos Chora's harbor waterfront sits a five-minute walk downhill, with the morning fish market and ferry connections to Paros and Mykonos at the same quay.
