The property runs as a family farm first, guesthouse second; horses and cattle share the surrounding fields. Rooms are simply furnished, prioritising warmth over design, which suits the sub-Arctic setting well.

Húsavík town, Iceland's whale-watching capital, lies a short drive south, with daily boat tours departing Skjálfandi Bay from spring through autumn. The guesthouse is also positioned close to the Diamond Circle route, linking Ásbyrgi canyon, Dettifoss waterfall, and Lake Mývatn within a single day's drive.
