Six wooden cottages spread through an apple orchard on the Tangmarg-Gulmarg road, Gulmarg Orchard places guests inside working farmland rather than a resort compound. Snow-capped Apharwat ridge frames the view north from every cottage window.

The property sits below the main Gulmarg bowl, keeping access to the Gondola cable car — Asia's highest at 3,980m — within a short drive while avoiding the busier hotel strip nearer the meadow. Winter guests use the lift for ski access; summer visitors walk directly into wildflower trails from the orchard edge.

Tangmarg village, four kilometres downhill, handles daily supplies. The Gulmarg Golf Course, one of the world's highest at 2,650m, is reachable in under ten minutes by road.
