About Rambagh Palace
Opposite the polo grounds on Bhawani Singh Road, Rambagh Palace served as the official residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur before Taj Hotels converted it in 1957. The 47-acre estate sits roughly 6km south of the Old City's Pink walls and Hawa Mahal.
Seventy-eight rooms and suites occupy the original palace wings; the Royal Suite retains the Maharaja's private chambers. The Suvarna Mahal restaurant operates inside a former ballroom with arched ceilings and Belgian crystal chandeliers overhead.
The grounds host croquet lawns and a heritage spa drawing on Rajasthani plant-based treatments. Auto-rickshaw rides to the Amber Fort road take under twenty minutes from the main gate.
