Taj Lake Palace Udaipur

An 18th-century marble palace built entirely on a natural island in Lake Pichola, Taj Lake Palace floats 1.5 acres of white marble roughly 400 metres from the Udaipur shoreline, accessible only by hotel boat.

Ninety-seven rooms and suites wrap around a central courtyard pool; rooms facing the City Palace to the east catch the best morning light, while west-facing suites track the sunset over the Aravalli hills. The Jiva Spa occupies a dedicated floor with lake views from every treatment room.

Guests arrive by private launch from the Bansi Ghat jetty, a four-minute crossing that replaces the standard hotel driveway. Dinner at Neel restaurant is served on an open terrace directly above the water, with the illuminated palace facade reflecting below.
