The Javanese homestay compound at Km 8.5 on the Parangtritis road, Yabbiekayu occupies a cluster of traditional joglo-style pavilions in Tembi village, roughly 8km south of Yogyakarta's kraton district. Rice paddies and a working kampung surround the property rather than resort infrastructure.

Cooking classes, batik tours, and bicycle rental give guests structured access to village life; the on-site restaurant draws from local market produce and serves special-diet meals on request. Open-air baths and a garden terrace anchor the slower end of the stay.

Tembi sits closer to Parangtritis beach than to central Yogya, making it a quieter base than the Prawirotaman gallery strip. Airport shuttle runs on request; the Prambanan temple complex is a 45-minute drive northeast.
