About Folgarida

Folgarida

Folgarida is a ski resort in the Val di Sole, Trentino, sitting at roughly 1,300 metres in the Italian Alps. Part of the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta network, it connects directly to Marilleva and shares over 150 kilometres of groomed pistes with Madonna di Campiglio — one of the largest linked ski areas in the eastern Alps. A single lift pass covers the full circuit, making Folgarida a practical base for skiers who want variety without driving between resorts.

The village draws primarily winter sports visitors: Alpine skiers, snowboarders, and families seeking a quieter alternative to the higher-profile Madonna di Campiglio, which lies about 12 kilometres by road. The season typically runs from December to late March. In summer, the same cable cars carry mountain bikers and hikers into the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, whose dolomitic peaks and glacial lakes attract a second wave of visitors between June and September.

Accommodation in Folgarida ranges from ski-in/ski-out hotels along the piste to smaller guesthouses in the village centre. Trento, the regional capital, is approximately 70 kilometres south via the SS42 road.
