Limone sul Garda sits on a narrow ledge of limestone cliffs along the western shore of Lake Garda, roughly 20 km north of Salò in the Brescia province of Lombardy. The town is famous for its centuries-old limonaie — terraced lemon houses built between the 17th and 19th centuries — which give the village its name and its most-photographed silhouette.
