The town's skyline is defined by the Castello Branciforti, a feudal fortress tied to one of Sicily's most powerful noble families during the 16th and 17th centuries. The historic centre follows a compact Baroque layout, with the Chiesa Madre di Santa Maria della Neve anchoring the main piazza.
