Masseria Panareo

Fourteen kilometres south of Otranto along the Adriatic coastal road, Masseria Panareo is a working farm estate converted into a three-star retreat where whitewashed stone buildings ring a courtyard garden shaded by centuries-old olive trees.

The masseria's restaurant leans on its own land for produce, with themed dinners and cooking classes that give guests access to Puglian recipes rarely found on tourist menus. The outdoor pool sits at terrace level with views toward the sea, and beach chairs are provided at the Adriatic access a short walk away. Yoga, tennis, horseback riding, and canoeing round out activities on site.

Otranto's old town — cathedral mosaic floor, Aragonese castle — is reachable in under twenty minutes by bicycle, rentable at the property.
