About Mara Major Camp
Fourteen tented suites make up Mara Major Camp, a small-footprint property set inside the greater Masai Mara ecosystem in southwestern Kenya, where the Mara River corridor draws the wildebeest migration between July and October each year.
The camp's size keeps game drives to small groups, allowing guides to linger at sightings rather than rotate through a queue. Bush breakfasts can be arranged at the vehicle — a common practice here when a big-cat sighting holds through sunrise.
The Masai Mara's airstrip network connects to Nairobi's Wilson Airport in roughly forty-five minutes by light aircraft, the standard arrival route. Road transfer from Nairobi runs five to six hours via the B3 highway.
