The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat

Converted from a century-old tin-mining valley between Ipoh's limestone karst hills, The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat channels natural geothermal water into private villa pools and open-air thermal lagoons. The retreat places 25 villas deep into secondary rainforest, each unit raised on stilts above a spring-fed lake.

Geothermal caves on the property reach 40°C naturally; a steam cave and an ice bath cave sit within walking distance of most villas. The spa integrates the thermal circuit with traditional Malay wellness treatments rather than a generic imported menu.
