Riad SULTANA

Eight rooms fill this restored riad off place Sekkaya in Tangier's Médina, its rue Soussi entrance marked only by a carved cedar door among the quarter's tangle of whitewashed lanes. A central courtyard with a tiled fountain replaces any lobby, catching daylight through the open roof above.

Rooms wrap the courtyard on two floors, each finished with hand-cut zellige and local Chefchaouen textiles. Breakfast is taken on the rooftop terrace, where the Strait of Gibraltar is visible on clear mornings.
