The Terminus
42 Queens Gardens The Terminus
About The Terminus
Twenty rooms occupy a restored Edwardian building beside Queens Gardens in central Dunedin, a compact park flanking the old railway quarter two blocks from the Octagon.
The Terminus keeps original pressed-tin ceilings and kauri timber floors throughout, with rooms arranged across three levels. No on-site restaurant operates, but Dunedin's Stuart Street café strip runs a short walk north and the Octagon's evening dining reaches both ends of the price range.
Dunedin's railway station — one of New Zealand's most photographed buildings — stands roughly 400 metres south. The property's Queens Gardens address puts guests within ten minutes' walk of both the University of Otago and the waterfront.
