ILIS House Matka

Set beside the Treska River canyon at the entrance to Matka gorge, ILIS House offers self-contained accommodation where mountain walls rise directly above the terrace. The canyon road ends here, keeping traffic noise minimal and wildlife — cormorants, Egyptian vultures — visible from the balcony.

Each unit runs as a full apartment: kitchen with dishwasher and toaster, washing machine, coffee machine, sofa bed, and private entrance. Breakfast is delivered to the room rather than served in a shared dining space, which suits the secluded setting. Mosquito nets are fitted as standard — useful during summer evenings along the river.

Matka Canyon sits 15km southwest of Skopje's city centre, reachable in under 25 minutes by car. Kayak rental and the medieval Treskavec monastery trail both begin within walking distance of the property.
