Guest House Vasco da Gama

Fourteen apartments occupy a named address at the edge of Lagos's historic centre — Rua Dom Vasco da Gama no.1 — placing guests a short walk from the Ponta da Bandeira fortress and the marina's ferry to Meia Praia beach.

Each private apartment includes a flat-screen TV with cable, electric blankets for cooler Atlantic nights, and a private bathroom with free toiletries. A shared kitchen and lounge serve the building communally, and private check-in removes any front-desk time pressure. Upper floors are stairs-only, worth noting for heavy luggage.

Lagos sits at the western end of the Algarve, with Praia Dona Ana and the eroded sandstone cliffs of Ponta da Piedade reachable on foot in under twenty minutes.
