Quinta da Ponte

Forty hectares of Minho farmland frame Quinta da Ponte, a working estate in Gondar where a centuries-old stone bridge — the ponte itself — still crosses the small river at the property's edge. Rooms occupy the renovated manor house on the ground floor, each with private entrance and patio facing the garden or pool.

The outdoor pool anchors a sun deck furnished for long afternoons; BBQ facilities and a picnic area extend the grounds toward the riverside trail. Fishing and hiking depart directly from the estate, and the kitchen delivers breakfast to rooms or packs it to-go for early starts. Special diet meals are available on request.

Gondar sits in the Amarante municipality, about 60km east of Porto. The quinta runs its own shuttle service for airport transfers and offers private check-in at any hour.
