Rooms keep polished teak floors and four-poster beds; each opens directly to the garden or sea terrace rather than a corridor. The kitchen runs a daily menu built around Galle fish market arrivals — no buffet, just a single sitting coordinated with guests each morning.

Unawatuna Bay itself is a four-minute walk west along Matara Road. The Portuguese-era Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, lies eight kilometres north by tuk-tuk.
