Three decades of ownership by the same family have shaped the Oak Bluffs Inn into one of Martha's Vineyard's most personal small stays, set on Circuit Avenue amid the painted Carpenter Gothic cottages of the Oak Bluffs campground district.

The cupola suite at the top of the building offers a 360-degree view over the gingerbread rooftops toward Nantucket Sound — the only room on the island with that particular sightline. Rates include a made-to-order breakfast served on the wraparound porch.

Circuit Avenue is the town's main commercial strip, with the Flying Horses carousel — the oldest platform carousel in the United States — one block away. The Steamship Authority ferry terminal is a ten-minute walk for day-trip access to Woods Hole.
