Soho Grand Hotel

Set on West Broadway at the quiet southern edge of Soho, Soho Grand occupies a cast-iron-district block where cobblestone side streets replace the avenue traffic of Canal Street two blocks south. The 1996 build was Soho's first new hotel in over a century, and its industrial-glass staircase entrance still nods to the cast-iron warehouses surrounding it.

Rooms favor factory-loft proportions — exposed columns, oversized windows — over standard hotel layouts. Pet goldfish are loaned on request, a Soho Grand signature since opening.

Canal Street subway access sits three minutes away, putting Tribeca and the West Village within easy walking range for guests avoiding Midtown congestion.
