Situado a orillas del extremo sur de Pretty Bay, en Birżebbuġa, Rock Bay ocupa uno de los rincones costeros más tranquilos de Malta, con aguas turquesas y poco profundas justo enfrente y la flota pesquera amarrada a doscientos metros hacia el este.

El establecimiento queda a treinta minutos en autobús del casco barroco de La Valeta y a veinte del recinto amurallado de Mdina. El mercado de pescado del domingo en Marsaxlokk, el mayor de la isla, está a diez minutos en coche siguiendo la carretera costera hacia el sur.

Birżebbuġa se reparte entre un barrio residencial en la parte alta y un paseo marítimo estrecho más abajo; la terminal de contenedores del Freeport, visible al otro lado de la bahía, es la única presencia industrial en un frente marítimo por lo demás discreto.
