Peter Island Resort

Past the eastern tip of Tortola, Peter Island Resort occupies its own 1,800-acre private island reachable only by ferry from Road Town's dock — a 30-minute crossing that marks the effective boundary between the main BVI bustle and near-total seclusion.

Five beaches ring the island, each facing a different compass point; Deadman's Bay, a horseshoe of pale sand on the southern shore, is the longest and the one most sheltered from Atlantic swell. Accommodation runs from beachfront bungalows to hilltop villas with direct sea views toward Norman Island.

The resort operates its own dive centre certified for BVI waters, with the wreck of the RMS Rhone — one of the Caribbean's benchmark dive sites — reachable in under twenty minutes by boat.
