Forty steps from Stradun's western end, Apartment & Room Joy occupies a stone townhouse on Široka ulica, one of the Old City's narrower lanes linking the main promenade to the Dominican Monastery. Rooms keep exposed limestone walls and small-paned windows original to the building.

The Pile Gate and bus terminus lie a five-minute walk west, useful for day trips to Lokrum or the coastal road toward Cavtat. No lift and no vehicle access mean guests carry luggage the final stretch on foot, a trade-off for the four-star property's setting inside the walls themselves.
