Hostel Korcula

An 18th-century stone house on Don Ive Matijace, Hostel Korcula sits inside the walled Old Town of Korcula, two minutes' walk from the medieval gate and Marco Polo's reputed birthplace — a practical, budget-friendly base for backpackers and ferry-hoppers island-hopping through southern Dalmatia.

Rooms mix dorm bunks with a few private doubles, all sharing a stone-walled common terrace used for evening drinks. Thick original walls keep interiors cool through the Adriatic summer heat.

The passenger ferry quay lies five minutes downhill, with Split and Dubrovnik both reachable by direct catamaran.
