Sunflower Camping

Converted from a family olive farm outside Materada, Sunflower Camping keeps rows of old olive trees as shade cover between pitches rather than planted ornamentals. The four-star site sits inland in Istria's rural interior, a fifteen-minute drive from the Novigrad coastline and better suited to travellers with cars than those relying on transit.

Pitches are graded by shade density, with the oldest trees marking the quietest row at the property's rear. A small on-site shop sells the farm's own olive oil rather than sourcing from wholesalers.

Mareda's back roads connect directly to Poreč and Umag without touching the coastal highway.
