Carolina Park

Fourteen minutes on foot from Parque La Carolina, Quito's largest urban green space, Carolina Park occupies the corner of Calles Moscu y Noruega in the city's northern financial district. The block sits among corporate headquarters, foreign embassies, and the Iñaquito shopping corridor rather than in the tourist-heavy historic centre.

Quito's altitude of 2,850 metres above sea level means first-night acclimatisation is common for arrivals from lower elevations; the park's open paths offer a gentler morning introduction than a packed sightseeing itinerary. Weekend craft stalls line the park's eastern edge, and paddleboats operate on the central lagoon through the afternoon.

Bus rapid transit along Avenida Amazonas connects the neighbourhood to the UNESCO-listed colonial centre in under thirty minutes, making the location practical for both business and leisure stays.
