Fourteen family apartments occupy Ayla's residential enclave on the northern edge of Aqaba, Jordan's only Red Sea port. The complex accepts families exclusively, making it one of the rare adults-with-children-only properties in a city that otherwise mixes all traveler types.

Aqaba sits at the northeastern tip of the Red Sea, with Israel's Eilat visible across the water and Saudi Arabia's border less than ten kilometres south. Snorkeling reefs begin within walking distance of the waterfront, and the Aqaba Marine Park offers guided dives into some of the Gulf's most intact coral.

The city center's restaurants and duty-free shopping line are reachable in under ten minutes by car. Wadi Rum's desert camps are roughly ninety minutes north by road.
