Luxury Mars Camp

Forty transparent bubble domes anchor Luxury Mars Camp in the protected UNESCO desert of Wadi Rum, where the iron-red sandstone landscape earned the site its nickname long before Mars missions made it fashionable.

Each dome frames an unobstructed ceiling view of one of Jordan's darkest night skies; no street lighting reaches this deep into the protected zone. Dinners are served Bedouin-style on low cushions around open fire pits, with lamb slow-cooked in underground zarb ovens.

The camp sits roughly 35km from Rum village along the desert track, requiring 4WD transfer. Petra's main gate lies two hours north by road, making this a practical base for combining both UNESCO sites in a single southern Jordan loop.
