Gite Talassemtane

Fourteen kilometers of Rif mountain trails begin at the door of Gite Talassemtane, set in the village of Zawiya Habteen within Bab Taza commune, deep in Chefchaouen province and well outside the blue-washed medina crowds. Talassemtane National Park's cedar forests and Akchour waterfalls sit within a short drive, making this a base for hikers and cyclists rather than day-trippers.

The gite runs cooking classes and themed dinners drawing on local Jbala cuisine, plus guided walking tours and bike rentals arranged through its own tour desk. A garden terrace and shared kitchen anchor the property's low-key, family-run character.
