Appartement boisée

Forty kilometres south of Fès in Morocco's Atlas highlands, Appartement Boisée occupies a residential block inside the Jardin d'Ifrane quarter, where cedar forest begins at the edge of the car park. Ifrane sits at 1,650 metres elevation, meaning summer temperatures rarely exceed 25°C — a rare quality in Morocco's interior.

The apartment equips guests for longer stays: full kitchen, washing machine, flat-screen TV, and on-site parking. Heating handles the sharp mountain nights that persist into June. The smoke-free policy holds throughout the building.

Ifrane itself is an anomaly — a 1930s French-planned town of steep rooftops and stone facades that looks more Swiss than North African. Ski resort Michlifen sits twenty minutes by road, and the cedar groves sheltering Barbary macaques are walkable from the address.
