Dar Ifrane

Around the cedar-forested edge of Ifrane, Morocco's so-called Little Switzerland, Dar Ifrane occupies a quiet residential block above the town's European-style chalets and manicured parks. The Middle Atlas setting sits at 1,650 metres, keeping summer temperatures mild and winters reliably snow-dusted.

Rooms are simply furnished with local Berber textiles; the absence of a star rating reflects the guesthouse scale rather than the welcome. Ifrane's small town centre and the Cascades des Vierges waterfall fall within a short walk from the address.

The town connects by hourly grand taxi to Azrou, fifteen minutes south, where Monday's weekly souk draws traders from across the plateau. Fes lies roughly ninety minutes by road, making Ifrane a practical base for day trips into the Middle Atlas.
