About La Maison Arabe Hotel, Spa & Cooking Workshops
The 1940s riad on Derb Essehb, just inside Bab Doukkala gate, La Maison Arabe was Marrakech's first restaurant before reopening as a hotel — a detail that explains why the kitchen still outranks most medina dining rooms. The Jemaa el-Fna is a twelve-minute walk east, making it a calm base for couples and cultural travellers who want the medina without its loudest streets.
Cooking workshops run at a dedicated pavilion outside the city walls, where half-day classes cover tagine and bastilla technique with market sourcing built in. The hammam and spa handle body wraps, scrubs, and facial treatments on-site; two outdoor pools and a solarium add recovery space.
Rooms carry zellige tilework and hand-carved cedar ceilings; minibars, robes, and slippers are standard across all categories. Airport transfers and bicycle rental are arranged through concierge.
