Stretched along the ochre wall of Kasbah Taourirt, Dar Kamar occupies a restored merchant house on 45 Kasbah Taourirt, a two-minute walk from the kasbah's main gate — a practical base for travellers touring Ouarzazate's film studios and the Draa Valley kasbah route.

Rooms open onto a shaded interior courtyard rather than the street, keeping desert dust and heat out. The rooftop terrace faces the kasbah's towers directly, best around sunset when tour groups have left.

Staff arrange early departures for Ait Benhaddou, forty minutes west, before the day's heat sets in.
