Kasbah Tifoultoute

Twelve earthen towers of rammed clay define Kasbah Tifoultoute, a restored Glaoui-era fortress on the palm grove bank of the Oued Ouarzazate, four kilometres west of the city center. Rooms keep thick mud-brick walls and small carved windows, cooled by air conditioning rather than the shade alone.

The rooftop terrace looks over the Draa valley palmery to the Anti-Atlas foothills, the same view once used for regional film productions shot nearby. A tour desk arranges Ait Benhaddou excursions and horseback rides along the riverbed.

Evening entertainment includes live Berber music and themed dinners in the courtyard restaurant, suited to travelers based in Ouarzazate for desert and film-set touring.
