RS Hotel Karam Palace

Six kasbah-style towers form the RS Hotel Karam Palace on Avenue Moulay Rachid, Ouarzazate's main east-west artery linking the old Taourirt Kasbah to the Atlas Film Studios a short drive west — a practical stop for travellers breaking the Marrakech-to-Sahara road route rather than settling into the town centre proper.

Rammed-earth facades and carved cedar doors reference the region's ksour architecture rather than imitating a resort template. The pool courtyard is shaded by date palms through the afternoon heat, and the on-site restaurant serves tagines cooked in traditional clay pots.

Ouarzazate's kasbah quarter and craft souks lie within easy reach for a half-day stop before continuing toward the desert.
