Ryad-IGRANE

Folded into the palm groves of Toundoute village, thirty minutes east of Ouarzazate on the road toward Skoura, Ryad-IGRANE occupies a traditional earthen kasbah-style building beneath the Anti-Atlas foothills. The setting suits travellers breaking the Marrakech–Sahara route rather than city-based sightseers.

Rooms keep thick pisé walls that hold off the desert heat without air conditioning; a shaded courtyard replaces a pool. Home-cooked tagines are served communally, often with produce from the riad's own garden.

Toundoute's kasbah ruins are a short walk away, and the Skoura oasis palmery lies within easy reach by car.
