Mountain Villa - Hunza Valley

Fourteen rooms perched above the Hunza River gorge, Mountain Villa faces the snow-capped ridgeline of Rakaposhi — at 7,788m, one of the most photographed peaks in Gilgit-Baltistan — directly from its terrace seating.

Rooms are simply furnished with local walnut woodwork and wool blankets sourced from Karimabad bazaar, two kilometres down the valley road. The kitchen leans on Hunza staples: apricot-based chutneys, buckwheat chapati, and dried mulberry served alongside morning tea.

Hunza Valley sits roughly 100km north of Gilgit along the Karakoram Highway, with the Baltit Fort a twenty-minute walk from the property. The hotel's six guest reviews average a 9.7 rating — a narrow sample but consistently strong on the mountain views and host hospitality.
