Rafsal A Countryside Cottage

Hidden among the apricot orchards of Chorspa village, Rafsal A Countryside Cottage occupies a quiet pocket of the Skardu valley with Karakoram peaks rising on three sides. The cottage sits well off the main Hasnain Chowk road, reached by a short lane through cultivated fields.

The rural setting rewards guests who come specifically to avoid Skardu's busier guesthouses near the bazaar. Mornings here are markedly quieter, with irrigation channels rather than traffic providing the ambient sound.

Chorspa places guests roughly fifteen minutes by road from Skardu's central market and the Shangrila Resort lake, while the Satpara Lake turnoff is closer still. The Karakoram Highway onward to Gilgit begins from central Skardu.
