Six dormitory rooms in Huaraz's La Soledad barrio, Qumir Packers sits a ten-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas and roughly 3,100 metres above sea level — close enough to the Cordillera Blanca trailheads that early-start trekkers can reach Laguna 69's base without an overnight drive.

Shared bathrooms keep the price accessible; a terrace and garden catch afternoon views of the surrounding peaks. An in-room kettle and tea supplies mean guests can acclimatise quietly rather than hunting a café at dawn. The bar handles post-hike recovery without leaving the building.

Huaraz is Peru's trekking capital, and La Soledad is its quieter residential edge — less traffic noise than the centre, with gear rental shops and guiding agencies reachable in under fifteen minutes on foot.
