Mojácar: White Pueblo Above the Almería Coast

Mojácar sits in Almería province, southeast Spain, split between a hilltop Moorish village and a beach resort 2 km below. The old pueblo climbs to 175 metres, its whitewashed cube houses stacked along narrow lanes that date to the 15th century. The coastline below stretches roughly 17 km of Mediterranean sand, facing east toward the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park.
