Dana Villa

Fourteen kilometres south of Bentota's river mouth, Dana Villa occupies a ground-floor property on De Alwis Road with direct access to the beach strip that made this coast Sri Lanka's original resort corridor. Beach loungers, snorkelling, canoeing, windsurfing, and diving are all arranged on-site, making the villa function as a water-sports base as much as a guesthouse.

The outdoor pool sits within a garden where BBQ evenings and cooking classes are occasionally organised. Breakfast reaches each room directly; the shared kitchen and dining area suit longer stays. Bicycle rental and guided bike tours open up the Bentota lagoon backroads, which most shoreline hotels ignore entirely.

Private check-in, key-card access, and a private entrance keep arrivals low-key. Airport shuttle runs to Bandaranaike on request.
