Nilu Villa

Forty-eight kilometres south of Colombo along the coastal highway, Nilu Villa occupies a garden property in Sooriyagoda where the Bentota River meets the Indian Ocean lagoon system — one of Sri Lanka's prime windsurfing and canoeing corridors.

The villa runs on a private-entrance model with breakfast served directly to rooms rather than a shared dining hall. A full kitchen and kitchenware are available for guests who prefer self-catering; special diet meals arrive on request. Mosquito nets, tile floors, and garden-view sitting areas reflect the working tropical-house character rather than resort polish.

Water activity access is the practical draw: diving, fishing, and windsurfing are all arrangeable from the property, with bicycle rental for the riverside roads. Colombo airport transfers are bookable directly through the villa.
