The WE2

Twelve kilometres south of Bentota town, The WE2 occupies a garden plot in Kaikawala where the lagoon meets the Indian Ocean shoreline — rooms look across a private pool toward open water on one side and lake on the other.

Each unit functions as a self-contained villa: full kitchen with oven, stovetop, and microwave, a dining table for in-room meals, private bathroom with bathtub, and a terrace or balcony. A hot tub and private beach area separate the property from the standard resort template on this stretch of coast.

Bentota is Sri Lanka's established water-sports corridor, with river safaris on the Bentota Ganga and Geoffrey Bawa's Brief Garden a twenty-minute drive inland. Free parking and a private entrance suit guests arriving by hired car from Colombo Bandaranaike, roughly ninety minutes north.
