Deira, on the Creek's north bank, carries the oldest commercial fabric of the city — the Gold Souk has traded since 1851 — and offers the lowest nightly rates of any central district. Palm Jumeirah suits resort-seekers who want private beach clubs and the monorail link to the mainland.

Getting Around

The Dubai Metro Red Line connects DXB Terminal 1 & 3 to Downtown, Marina, and Mall of the Emirates without a transfer. Taxis are metered and widely available. The Palm Monorail runs from Atlantis to the Gateway Towers, linking to the tram at Jumeirah Lakes Towers.
