About Lehi
Lehi: Silicon Slopes Gateway in Utah County
Lehi sits at the northern end of Utah County, roughly 30 miles south of Salt Lake City along the I-15 corridor. Once a farming town founded in 1851, Lehi has transformed into one of the fastest-growing tech cities in the American West — the stretch of Utah County from Lehi to Provo is collectively branded Silicon Slopes, home to Adobe, Qualtrics, and dozens of mid-size software firms. The population crossed 80,000 in the early 2020s, bringing new hotel inventory and restaurant strips to areas near Thanksgiving Point, a 55-acre campus of gardens, museums, and an outlet mall at the Lehi exit off I-15.
Where to Stay
Most hotels cluster near the Thanksgiving Point interchange (Exit 284) and along Digital Drive, placing guests within walking distance of corporate campuses and a short drive from the Museum of Ancient Life, one of the largest dinosaur museums in North America. Traverse Mountain to the west adds retail and dining. Budget and mid-range chains dominate the inventory; full-service options are limited.
Practical Tips
- Getting around: A car is essential — FrontRunner commuter rail stops at Lehi Station but service is limited on weekends.
- Weather: Summer highs reach 95 °F; pack sunscreen for outdoor events at Thanksgiving Point gardens.
- Airport: Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is approximately 35 miles north via I-15.
