Twelve kilometres inland from Novigrad, Monica App occupies a stone farmhouse on Kmeti road in Materada, a hamlet of vineyards and olive groves in inland Istria. Rooms open directly onto a shared courtyard rather than a corridor, keeping the layout closer to a farmstay than a hotel.

No restaurant on site, but the owners stock the small kitchen fridge with local prosciutto, cheese, and wine on request. The setup suits drivers touring Istria's hill towns — Grožnjan and Buje are each under twenty minutes by car — rather than travellers wanting beach access on foot.
