Each suite carries individual design detailing rather than uniform hotel furnishings; the address sits within Caldaro's DOC wine zone, where Vernatsch and Pinot Noir vineyards begin at the village edge. No on-site restaurant, but a dozen wine-taverns operate within a five-minute walk.

Kaltern is 15 kilometres south of Bolzano, reachable by regional bus or the lakeside cycling path that skirts Kalterersee — one of the Alps' warmest swimming lakes — before climbing into the old centre.
