About Lisiera
Lisiera
Lisiera is a small frazione of Bolzano Vicentino municipality in the Province of Vicenza, set on the flat agricultural plain of the central Veneto region. The settlement sits roughly 10 km north-east of Vicenza city centre, whose historic core — entirely shaped by the 16th-century architect Andrea Palladio — has held UNESCO World Heritage status since 1994. Travellers based in Lisiera reach Vicenza's Piazza dei Signori and the Basilica Palladiana in under 15 minutes by car.
The surrounding landscape mixes working farmland with the low ridge of the Colli Berici to the south, a protected natural area offering hiking trails and wine routes producing Tai Rosso and Garganega grapes. Villa Valmarana ai Nani, famous for its 18th-century frescoes by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo, stands less than 12 km away on the Berici slopes. The area attracts guests attending trade fairs at Vicenza Expo Centre — one of Italy's largest exhibition venues — as well as cyclists following the Riviera Berica route.
Lisiera itself is a residential locality without a train station; the nearest rail connection is Vicenza, served by frequent Trenitalia regional services linking Verona (30 minutes) and Padua (20 minutes) on the Milan–Venice main line.
